Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation
The aim of rehabilitation after injury or surgery is to limit the amount of scaring and to preserve strength elasticity and contractility of the tissue components.
The objective in training these muscles, tendons and joints after injury is to:
Regain normal mobility ( range of motion) of the joint.
Stretch connective tissue fibres of the tendons and muscles to an optimal length.
Increase the strength and endurance of the muscles.
Increase the strength of muscle and tendon attachments.
Improve coordination and proprioception.
